Purpose of the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and analyse funding opportunities with relevant donors and funding agencies aligned to AFSA’s programme priorities
• Develop comprehensive business development strategies, including pre-solicitation planning and competitive positioning

• Work collaboratively with internal teams across technical and programme units to gather inputs and formulate compelling proposals
• Guide and mentor staff within the Business Development Unit to enhance organisational capacity in resource mobilisation
• Build and manage relationships with key external stakeholders, including donors, partners and institutional funders
• Represent AFSA at external forums, meetings and donor engagements to raise awareness of organisational strengths and strategic priorities
• Provide strategic input to AFSA’s senior leadership on funding trends, risk management and opportunities for growth

Qualifications and Experience
