Key Responsibilities
The Project Officer will assist in day-to-day coordination of project activities, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met. You will help organize field activities, collect relevant data, and maintain accurate documentation to support reporting processes. Collaboration with supervisors and field teams will be essential in ensuring activities run smoothly.
You will support the preparation of workplans, progress updates, and technical reports to keep stakeholders informed. The role also involves facilitating training sessions, stakeholder meetings, and community outreach activities. A strong ability to engage beneficiaries, partners, and other stakeholders will greatly enhance the success of the programs you manage.
Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) is an important part of the role. The Project Officer will participate in data collection, verification, and consolidation to ensure that project performance aligns with targets. You may also assist in conducting assessments or participating in research activities when required.

Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, development studies, social sciences, project management, or a related field. A minimum of two to three years of relevant experience in project implementation, especially within development programs, is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—are essential, as the role involves interacting with multiple stakeholders and preparing various reports. Applicants must be comfortable using productivity tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Familiarity with agricultural development, community mobilization, or private-sector engagement is an added advantage. Experience working in rural communities or with donor-funded projects will also strengthen your application.
