Overview:
Qatar Airways is hiring a Senior Business Control and Financial Support Analyst to strengthen the Business Finance team. The role focuses on financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, and business partnering. You will translate data into clear insight. You will help leaders make better decisions that drive performance. The position supports budgeting, variance analysis, route profitability, and business case review. This role contributes to Qatarization and helps develop local finance talent.

Main Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain robust financial models and dashboards that support leadership decisions.
- Analyse revenues, costs, margins, and trends. Deliver clear root cause variance explanations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management reports with actionable insight.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles and review annual budget submissions.
- Define and report business KPIs. Monitor route profitability where applicable.
- Review and challenge business case proposals for investments or insource versus outsource options.
- Conduct ad hoc revenue and cost analysis for senior management requests.
- Review contracts and agreements for financial compliance and risk.
- Consolidate and analyse departmental financial results on a monthly basis.
- Control spending and recommend measures to meet cost of sale targets.
- Support alignment between financial accounting and management reporting definitions.
- Identify process improvements and work with stakeholders to implement them.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Business Finance manager.

Process Improvement and Controls:
You will identify gaps in current processes and suggest practical improvements. You will support automation and reporting efficiency. You will help align reporting standards across finance teams. You will promote financial control and good governance in operational reporting.
Stakeholder Engagement:
You will partner with commercial teams, operations, supply chain, and other finance units. You will present analysis to managers and leadership in clear terms. You will coach non-finance colleagues to improve financial literacy. You will work with internal audit, tax, and legal when required. You will join cross functional project teams and provide financial input.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related discipline.
- Minimum one year of job-related experience for degree holders.
- Previous experience as a financial analyst is required.
- Professional finance credentials are an advantage.
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with finance systems.
- Knowledge of cost centre accounting, budgeting and forecasting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
- High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks under pressure.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in the airline industry or a large operational business is preferred. Familiarity with route profitability analysis and aviation finance is useful. Prior exposure to corporate reporting frameworks is an asset.
