Purpose of the Internship

The UNDP Social Media Communications Intern will play a key role in strengthening UNDP’s digital presence. As a UNDP Social Media Communications Intern, you will work closely with Communications Specialists to plan, produce, and publish content that aligns with our editorial priorities. Key Responsibilities

The UNDP Social Media Communications Intern will undertake a diverse range of tasks focused on content creation and community management:

• Content Production: Draft, edit, and schedule social media posts across X (Twitter), Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
• Visual Assets: Use tools like Canva to develop high-quality graphics, carousels, and videos that comply with Climate Hub visual guidelines.
• Campaign Support: Assist in the lead-up to key climate moments, including the UN Climate Change Conference (COP31) in Türkiye.
• Analytics: Support the communications team by producing performance reports and data-driven recommendations to improve strategy.
• Community Engagement: Monitor comments and messages to foster inclusive and positive conversations around climate content.
• Accessibility: Ensure all content meets digital accessibility standards, including alt text and captioning.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with Language Communications Specialists to ensure effective dissemination of content for French and Spanish channels.

Required Skills and Experience

Academic Background:
