Role Purpose

The primary goal of the UNICEF Partnerships Specialist is to accelerate faith and membership-based partnerships. This involves providing organizations with opportunities to amplify their impact through resource mobilization, advocacy, and strategic engagement. The UNICEF Partnerships Specialist is a vital member of the Faith and Membership team, facilitating the retention of existing partners and the cultivation of new high-value relationships globally.

Key Responsibilities

As a UNICEF Partnerships Specialist, your duties will include:

  • Revenue Growth: You will grow the faith and membership giving revenue stream by building market capacity, with a specific focus on the Asia/Pacific and Northern Europe regions.
  • Strategic Mapping: The UNICEF Partnerships Specialist supports strategic mapping to explore new partnership opportunities and establish a pipeline of top prospects.
  • Technical Expertise: Providing technical guidance and building a global “Community of Practice” is a core function of the UNICEF Partnerships Specialist.
  • Capacity Building: You will develop strategy-growing technical expertise for relationship managers and provide direct coaching to senior leaders in priority markets.
  • Relationship Management: The UNICEF Partnerships Specialist serves as a dedicated focal point for National Committees and Country Offices, ensuring the effective tracking of grants and due diligence principles.

Qualifications and Experience

To qualify for the UNICEF Partnerships Specialist vacancy, candidates must demonstrate:

  • Education: An advanced university degree in international development, fundraising, marketing, or theology/religious studies. (A first-level degree with two additional years of experience may be accepted).
  • Professional Experience: A minimum of five years of relevant experience in fundraising or partnerships. Crucially, the UNICEF Partnerships Specialist must have at least two years of experience working directly with faith or membership-based organizations.

  • Languages: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language is a significant asset.
