Key Duties and Strategic Responsibilities

1. Operational Oversight & Budget Control

The Financial Accountant is tasked with the supervision of the day-to-day payments process. A critical part of the role involves the control of Administration and General Expenditure to ensure all costs adhere strictly to the approved budget. This includes managing the timeous purchasing of spare parts, raw materials, and consumables to ensure plant repairs and production remain uninterrupted.

2. Financial Reporting & Management Accounts

Reporting is a pillar of this position. The successful applicant must produce management accounts by the 10th day of every month. Furthermore, the role involves checking month-end journals, updating the system, and producing the companyโ€™s annual budget and reviews in alignment with current economic trends.

3. Compliance and Audit Management

To maintain Printflow’s high standards, the accountant will reconcile trade and statutory creditors and resolve both internal and external audit queries. The role culminates in the production of Draft Financial Statements and the compilation of the audit file, alongside constant updates to the Policies and Procedures manual.

4. Security and Stock Management

Beyond the ledger, the Financial Accountant performs spot checks on security items and records, including fuel coupons. In the absence of the Management Accountant, they are also responsible for supervising quarterly stocktakes at the Harare Head Office.

Qualifications and Competency Requirements
