Anima International is officially opening applications for its inaugural Anima International Fellowship 2026. This intensive three-week residency, held in Warsaw, Poland, is designed for individuals who are deeply motivated to reduce animal suffering and are looking to build a high-impact career in animal advocacy.

What the Fellowship Offers

The Anima International Fellowship is structured to equip participants with the “scout mindset” a data-driven, evidence-based approach to decision-making and activism. The program is split into two distinct phases:

1. Intensive Training (Weeks 1 & 2):

Fellows will spend the first two weeks working alongside Anima International leadership. The curriculum covers corporate campaign strategies, movement history, forecasting, and real-world organizational challenges. You will work in rotating teams to tackle actual problems currently faced by the movement.

2. CARE Conference Integration (Week 3):

The fellowship concludes with full participation in the annual CARE Conference (17–20 September). This provides a massive networking opportunity, connecting you with hundreds of advocates and experts from across Europe and the globe.


Eligibility and Candidate Profile

The Anima International Fellowship is an inclusive program. There are no restrictions regarding nationality, age, or previous experience in advocacy. Most importantly, you do not need to be vegan or vegetarian to apply, provided you are committed to the mission of reducing animal suffering.

Ideal candidates should demonstrate:

  • Mission Motivation: A genuine and strong belief that animal suffering must be reduced effectively.
  • Scout Mindset: An ability to reason carefully, back ideas with evidence, and the willingness to update your views when proven wrong.
  • High Agency: A proactive “problem-solver” attitude and a preference for taking initiative.
  • Global Diversity: Applications are especially encouraged from regions where animal advocacy is still developing, including Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America.

Financial Support:

To ensure accessibility, the fellowship is fully funded. This includes round-trip flights, individual accommodation in Warsaw, and all meals. Additionally, fellows receive a stipend of €1,500 to €3,500 (calculated based on your country of residence) to cover personal expenses.

Application Process and Key Dates

The selection process for the Anima International Fellowship is competitive but designed to be constructive for all applicants.

  • May 17: Final deadline for applications.
  • May 23–31: Candidates complete technical tasks.
  • June 10–21: Shortlisted candidates invited for interviews.
