Core Program Features & Immersive Schedule
The Taiwan AID Fellowship operates on a highly structured, step-by-step itinerary combining capacity-building workshops, specialized fieldwork, and policy roundtable panels.
- Stage 1: Intensive Orientation & Workshops (5 Oct – 8 Oct 2026): Fellows begin the program in Taipei with a 4-day professional capacity-building workshop focusing on international campaign strategies, resource mobilization, project management, and advocacy. This block includes organized visits to key Taiwanese civil society sites and a high-level roundtable exchange with local NGO executives.
- Stage 2: Specialized NGO Field Placements (12 Oct – 29 Oct 2026): For three weeks, fellows deploy directly into their host NGOs. Depending on the organization’s focus, fellows engage in daily operational logistics, event preparation, fundraising management, and community outreach.
- Stage 3: Project Proposal & Cultural Integration (30 Oct – 31 Oct 2026): Fellows draft and present a collaborative project proposal designed for execution in their home countries. The program concludes with fellows participating in the annual Taiwan LGBT+ Pride events in Taipei celebrating East Asia’s open, vibrant civil society ecosystem.

The international review board targets independent, highly motivated civil society practitioners aged between 25 and 40 who demonstrate clear leadership potential in their home communities for the Taiwan AID Fellowship.
