Emeritus Reinsurance is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of ICT Assistant based in Harare. The successful candidate will support the organisation’s digital transformation by assisting with systems development, business process automation, ICT support, and technology-driven initiatives that enhance operational efficiency.
Working closely with the ICT Manager, the ICT Assistant will contribute to application development, systems integration, user support, and the implementation of innovative digital solutions across the organisation.

The ICT Assistant will play an important role in developing, maintaining, and supporting business applications while assisting with digitalisation and automation projects. The position combines software development, ICT support, database management, and system integration, making it ideal for candidates with strong technical skills and a passion for innovation.

Key Responsibilities
The ICT Assistant will develop, test, deploy, and maintain internal business applications while building web-based and mobile applications that support business operations. The role also includes assisting with digitalisation projects, business process automation, and integrating internal systems with third-party applications.
The successful candidate will maintain databases, develop SQL queries and reports, troubleshoot software defects, and provide first-line ICT support for hardware, software, and system-related issues. Additional responsibilities include supporting users during system implementations, preparing technical documentation and user guides, promoting secure software development practices, and researching emerging technologies that improve business efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants for the ICT Assistant position should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Candidates must have a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role together with demonstrable software development skills and a strong development portfolio. Relevant professional ICT certifications will be considered an added advantage.
