Key Responsibilities of the Business Operations Internship
The mandate of the Business Operations Internship covers four primary operational areas: service delivery, logistics, human resources, and administrative support.
Service Delivery and Procurement
Participants in the Business Operations Internship will act as account managers for various service lines. This includes performing need analysis, market research, and sourcing for IT equipment. Interns are responsible for creating e-requisitions, evaluating bids, and managing the reconciliation of case records using the ServiceNow platform.
Logistics and Supply Chain
A core component of the Business Operations Internship involves inventory management for the “Smart Facility” supply chain. Duties include:
- Organizing and reviewing stock quantities for future procurement.
- Preparing global equipment shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Coordinating with country offices on customs clearance and exemption procedures to ensure the timely arrival of goods.
Human Resources and Administration
The Business Operations Internship framework includes participation in the recruitment of future cohorts. This involves coordinating interviews, managing outreach strategies on university portals, and facilitating onboarding programs. Administrative tasks include drafting knowledge base articles, preparing meeting minutes, and supporting office maintenance.

Requirements and Eligibility
Applicants for the Business Operations Internship must satisfy the following academic and technical criteria:
- Academic Status: Currently enrolled in a postgraduate program, the final year of a Bachelorโs degree, or a recent graduate in International Business, Finance, Management, or Economics.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory. Knowledge of SharePoint Online, CRM/ERP systems, and procurement processes is considered a distinct advantage.
- Languages: Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Knowledge of other UN official languages is an asset.
- Residency: Candidates must be eligible for residency and to undertake an internship in Denmark.
