GreenFuel (Private) Limited, a pioneering ethanol production and renewable energy company in Zimbabwe, has announced an immediate recruitment drive for highly skilled, safety-conscious Green fuel Machine Operators. These critical technical roles have arisen within the company’s Land Development Department at the Chisumbanje estate.
The successful Green fuel Machine Operator candidates will be responsible for operating large-scale earthmoving equipment essential for massive land preparation, agricultural expansion, trenching, and complex road maintenance networks. This intake is ideal for disciplined, experienced heavy-machinery operators who can maintain continuous field production cycles while upholding strict environmental and occupational safety standards.
Key Responsibilities and Field Deliverables
The day-to-day duties for selected Green fuel Machine Operators span precision machinery manipulation, preventative mechanical maintenance, and rigorous worksite risk mitigation.
1. Precision Field Operations
- Land Infrastructure: The Green fuel Machine Operators will be responsible for Safely and efficiently operating assigned heavy machinery (Excavators, Dozers, Graders, or TLBs) for heavy land clearing, site levelling, trenching, structural loading, and agricultural plot preparation.
- Infrastructure Upkeep: The Green fuel Machine Operators will be responsible for Executing continuous grading and maintenance operations across the estate’s private and commercial transport roads to facilitate smooth agricultural logistics.
- Target Execution: The Green fuel Machine Operators will be responsible for Working closely with the Yellow Machine Foreman to execute site-specific tasks efficiently in complete alignment with corporate land-development and sugarcane production timelines.
2. Preventative Maintenance & Fault Tracking
- Pre-Start Checks: The Green fuel Machine Operators will be responsible for Conducting mandatory, rigorous daily pre-start inspections and basic preventative maintenance tasks (checking fluid levels, greasing joints, and monitoring tire/track integrity) prior to starting a shift.
- Defect Escalation: The Green fuel Machine Operators will be responsible for Tracking and promptly reporting sudden mechanical anomalies, system breakdowns, or potential field hazards to the workshop team to prevent costly equipment downtime.
3. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance
- HSE Adherence: The Green fuel Machine Operators will be responsible for Maintaining an uncompromised commitment to zero-harm workplace parameters, operating under strict adherence to national health, safety, and environmental protection guidelines.
- Operational Discipline: The Green fuel Machine Operators will be responsible for Minimizing asset downtime and excessive fuel usage through skilled, deliberate, and smooth equipment operation.
