This executive seat is responsible for ensuring alignment across complex regulatory, social, and political environments while managing media channels. The successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional emotional intelligence and proactive messaging capabilities to navigate operational incidents, drive corporate patriotism through online media partnerships, and protect the operator’s public image across all stakeholder groups.
Key Responsibilities and Performance Deliverables
The day-to-day portfolio for the successful NetOne Head Public Relations balances integrated corporate communications, aggressive crisis management, and stakeholder diplomacy.
1. Corporate Communications, Brand Custody & Executive Advising
- Strategy Implementation: The NetOne Head Public Relations will be responsible for Developing and executing an integrated corporate communications and public relations strategy that mirrors NetOneโs mission, values, and commercial milestones.
- Executive Advisory: The NetOne Head Public Relations will be responsible for Providing high-level strategic counsel to Executive Management and the Board regarding public messaging, media interaction trends, and long-term reputation risks.
- Brand Identity: The NetOne Head Public Relations will be responsible for Acting as NetOneโs primary brand custodian to ensure effective, consistent advertising, message alignment, and visual brand identity enforcement across all internal and external platforms.
2. Media Relations, Spokesperson Duties & Crisis Control
- Spokesperson Execution: The NetOne Head Public Relations will be responsible for Serving as the official face of NetOne, leading public communications on issues of public interest, service updates, network upgrades, and data tariff structural changes.
- Media Engagement: The NetOne Head Public Relations will be responsible for Spearheading formal media engagement initiatives, including press conferences, television interviews, corporate announcements, and high-level executive communication pieces.
- Crisis Mitigation: The NetOne Head Public Relations will be responsible for Designing, testing, and deploying robust crisis communication protocols to manage reputation risks during critical operational outages, regulatory reviews, or public incidents.
3. Digital Media Reputation, CSR Strategy & Vendor Management
- Online Reputation Management: The NetOne Head Public Relations will be responsible for Monitoring real-time media trends, public sentiment, and stakeholder perceptions across digital channels, implementing proactive social media engagement strategies.
- CSR Direction: The NetOne Head Public Relations will be responsible for Supporting and highlighting NetOneโs Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, showing community impacts across education, healthcare, and sustainable environmental clean-up drives.
- Agency Oversight: The NetOne Head Public Relations will be responsible for Managing external creative agencies, PR consultants, and media placement firms to ensure campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and strictly on-brand.
Qualifications, Experience & Professional Prerequisites
