The WISE Internship is designed to remove financial barriers, allowing fellows to focus entirely on their professional development.

  • Monthly Stipend: Fellows receive a stipend ranging from 600 EUR to 750 EUR, calculated based on the average wage of the host country.
  • Travel Allowance: Coverage for travel expenses to and from the host country.
  • Professional Training: A mandatory 4-day intensive training in Albania focusing on leadership, workplace ethics, and intercultural communication.
  • Work Experience: Placements in leading sectors such as technology, sustainability, and civic engagement.
  • Certification: Participants earn a professional certification upon successful completion of the three-month term.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

To ensure a high standard of professional exchange, the WISE program has specific requirements regarding education and experience.

  • Age: Applicants must be between 20 and 30 years old.
  • Citizenship: Must be a citizen of one of the “Western Balkan Six” (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, or Serbia).
  • Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree. Master’s students or recent graduates are preferred. Final-year students may apply with official proof of expected completion.
  • Experience: At least two years of professional experience or significant achievements in internships, leadership initiatives, or community engagement.
  • Language: Full proficiency in English is required for all selection procedures and workplace interactions.
  • Personal Attributes: Candidates must demonstrate honesty, self-motivation, and a strong personal statement that aligns with regional cooperation goals.
