Eligibility and Skills

The FemDigiNomics Internship Programme seeks applicants from a variety of academic backgrounds, including data science, economics, finance, law, computer science, communications, journalism, sociology, public health, development studies, gender studies, and related disciplines.

Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills, an interest in women’s economic opportunity and gender justice, and the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams. Depending on the role, experience with tools such as Excel, Python, Power BI, STATA, R, SPSS, Kobo, ODK, or natural language processing technologies may be advantageous.

Fluency in English and Swahili is expected across the programme, while additional local language skills may strengthen an application for community-based positions.
