Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate for the Oxfam Advocacy and Communications Manager position will:

Strategic Advocacy and Communications Leadership

  • Lead advocacy campaigns and public engagement initiatives.
  • Strengthen media relationships and communication partnerships.

Programme Integration and Partnerships

  • Work closely with programme teams and influencing leads.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants for the Oxfam Advocacy and Communications Manager role should have:

  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Public Policy, Strategic Communication, Media Studies, International Human Rights, International Affairs or a related field.
  • A Bachelorโ€™s degree combined with relevant postgraduate qualifications and at least 10 yearsโ€™ experience may also be considered.
  • At least 6 years of experience in advocacy, communications or public campaigning within development or humanitarian settings.
  • Minimum 3 yearsโ€™ experience in team leadership or management roles.

  • Proven ability to manage teams and work across multi-country or multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Strong analytical, communication and decision-making skills.
