Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports together with management accounts to support business operations.
The role includes managing project accounting, including CAPEX approvals, project cost monitoring, budget control, and contractor payments. The Accountant will also reconcile shop sales, cash collections, bank deposits, POS transactions, and general ledger accounts while monitoring inventory, food costs, stock variances, cash shortages, and operational losses.
Additional responsibilities include processing supplier invoices and payments, preparing budgets and forecasts, conducting financial analysis, ensuring compliance with tax and statutory requirements, supporting internal and external audits, and working with operational teams to strengthen financial controls and improve profitability.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants for the position should possess a Bachelor’s Honours Degree in Accounting. Candidates must also hold a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or CA.
A minimum of two years’ experience as an Accountant within an FMCG environment is required, together with strong knowledge of financial reporting, management accounting, budgeting, and reconciliations.
