World Vision Zimbabwe is inviting applications from recent graduates for the position of Communications Graduate Intern based at its National Office in Harare. The internship offers an opportunity for aspiring communications professionals to gain practical experience in digital communications, social media management, multimedia content creation, and corporate communications within one of the world’s leading humanitarian organisations.
The successful candidate will support the Communications team by developing digital content, managing online platforms, producing multimedia materials, and helping to strengthen the organisation’s public engagement and brand presence.
About the Communications Graduate Intern Role
The Communications Graduate Intern will contribute to the planning and delivery of social media campaigns, multimedia storytelling, and digital communications. The role combines content creation, photography, videography, analytics, and administrative support while ensuring communications remain consistent with World Vision’s branding and messaging standards.
The internship is ideal for a recent graduate seeking practical experience in communications, media, and digital marketing within the development sector.

Key Responsibilities
The Communications Graduate Intern will create digital content using design tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite while supporting the management of the organisation’s digital asset library. The successful candidate will assist with developing and publishing content for Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, and the World Vision Zimbabwe website to increase audience engagement.
The role also involves producing infographics and visual content from project reports, maintaining brand consistency across communication materials, supporting photography and videography during events and field visits, maintaining content calendars, assisting with media events and launches, and providing general administrative support to the Communications team.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should be recent graduates with a degree in Media, Journalism, or a related field from a recognised institution of higher learning.
Candidates must have completed at least one year of work-related learning in a relevant field and demonstrate proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other content editing software. Strong photography, videography, writing, and social media management skills are essential.
Experience developing content within the development or humanitarian sector will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
The ideal candidate should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong knowledge of Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences across digital platforms.
Applicants should also demonstrate attention to detail, a willingness to learn, a proactive attitude, the ability to work collaboratively within a team, and readiness to travel regularly to project sites.
