Croco Holdings is inviting applications from qualified professionals for the Croco Holdings Workshop Controller position. The company is seeking an experienced automotive specialist to oversee workshop operations, coordinate technical teams, and maintain high service delivery standards. The successful candidate will play a central role in ensuring that repair work is completed efficiently while meeting quality, safety, and customer service expectations.
The Croco Holdings Workshop Controller role is suited to candidates with strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and experience managing workflow in a busy automotive workshop or dealership environment.
Key Responsibilities
The successful Croco Holdings Workshop Controller candidate will coordinate daily workshop activities to maximise productivity and maintain operational efficiency. Duties include planning and allocating jobs to technicians, monitoring work progress, and ensuring repairs are completed within agreed turnaround times.
The role also involves working closely with Service Advisors and the Parts Department to ensure smooth communication and uninterrupted workflow. Quality control checks must be carried out before vehicles are released to customers, and all work should comply with established dealership procedures and manufacturer standards.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate job cards, allocating labour correctly, monitoring workshop capacity, assisting with complex technical issues where required, tracking technician productivity, supporting staff development, and ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations. The Croco Holdings Workshop Controller will also prepare reports and management information to support operational decision-making.
Qualifications and Experience
The Croco Holdings Workshop Controller applicants should possess a National Diploma or Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. A Journeyman Class 1 qualification in Motor Mechanics or an equivalent certification is required.
Candidates must also hold a valid driver’s licence. Additional manufacturer-accredited training or dealer certification from brands such as Volkswagen, BMW, or Mercedes-Benz will be an advantage. Professional qualifications such as IMI or City & Guilds certifications are also desirable.
The ideal applicant should have at least five years of experience working in an automotive workshop environment and a minimum of two years in a supervisory or workshop control position. Previous experience within a franchised or authorised dealership will be viewed favourably.
Strong knowledge of manufacturer diagnostic systems, workshop management software, service processes, planning, leadership, and quality control is expected for the Croco Holdings Workshop Controller position.
