The ICW Communications Coordinator is a part-time consultancy role designed to strengthen global communications, digital advocacy, and visibility for ICW Global over a six-month contract period. The position supports international advocacy focused on HIV, gender justice, reproductive rights, and human rights, working closely with global programme and advocacy leadership teams.

This ICW Communications Coordinator role is highly suited for a creative communications professional who is experienced in digital storytelling, social media management, and campaign coordination. The role focuses on amplifying the voices of women living with HIV and supporting global movements through strategic and engaging content.


About the ICW Communications Coordinator Role

The ICW Communications Coordinator will work closely with the Global Programmes Director and Global Advocacy Officer to deliver high-impact communications across digital platforms. The role involves coordinating campaigns, managing content calendars, supporting global advocacy moments, and ensuring consistent messaging across ICWโ€™s international networks.

The position also supports major global awareness events such as World AIDS Day, International Womenโ€™s Day, and the International AIDS Conference. The ICW Communications Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring that ICWโ€™s messaging remains visible, consistent, and impactful across all communication channels.

Key Responsibilities

The ICW Communications Coordinator will be responsible for supporting digital communications planning and execution across multiple platforms. This includes creating engaging content for social media, websites, newsletters, and campaign materials while ensuring alignment with global advocacy priorities.

The role also involves supporting campaign coordination for major international initiatives, including content scheduling, partner coordination, and amplification of advocacy messages. The ICW Communications Coordinator will assist in managing the 16 Days of Activism campaign and other global mobilisation efforts.

In addition, the role includes supporting virtual events by coordinating webinars, managing participant communication, assisting with speaker logistics, and providing basic technical support during online sessions. The ICW Communications Coordinator will also contribute to website updates, blog writing, proofreading, and basic multimedia content creation, including Canva graphics and short video edits where required.
