Rotational Functions and Learning Outcomes

The Baker’s Inn Distribution Trainee will move through several critical departments to build a holistic understanding of the distribution lifecycle:

1. Depot & Stock Management

Trainees will support daily depot operations, focusing on stock management, reconciliation, and the processing of Goods Received Vouchers (GRV) and Inter-Branch Transfers (IBT).

2. Dispatch & Fleet Logistics

A significant portion of the role involves order processing and delivery coordination. Trainees will gain exposure to fleet management, sophisticated route planning, and real-time vehicle tracking to ensure delivery efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

3. Customer Relations & Returns

The logistics chain ends with the customer. Trainees will assist in managing customer service queries and the returns management process, ensuring that the “last mile” of distribution maintains the brand’s service standards.

4. Analytical Reporting

Data-driven decision-making is core to the programme. Trainees will be responsible for logistics reporting and performance analysis, identifying bottlenecks and suggesting optimizations based on distribution data.

Candidate Requirements and Qualifications

Bakerโ€™s Inn is looking for energetic, analytically-minded individuals who are ready to embrace the rigors of a high-volume logistics environment for the Baker’s Inn Distribution Trainee.

  • Academic Background: The Baker’s Inn Distribution Trainee will require a University Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Purchasing and Supply, Business Studies, or a related field.
