The ECD Business Development Coordinator vacancy is open at Grow ECD for a motivated professional with experience in business development, financial analysis, stakeholder engagement, and community-based programmes. Through its mobile application and Small Business Programme (SBP), the organisation helps centre owners, teachers, and parents access tools and resources that strengthen early learning outcomes.
The successful ECD Business Development Coordinator will play an important role in identifying, assessing, preparing, and onboarding ECD centres into the Grow Small Business Programme. Reporting to the Senior Business Development Advisor, the role focuses on pipeline development, financial screening, site assessments, training, and ensuring smooth transitions into programme support.

The ECD Business Development Coordinator will be responsible for developing relationships with early childhood development centres and community stakeholders while identifying opportunities for programme growth.
The role requires someone who can combine business development expertise with strong financial understanding. The successful candidate will assess the readiness of potential ECD centres, review financial information, support onboarding processes, and ensure selected centres are prepared to receive ongoing business support.
This position requires regular engagement with ECD owners, community networks, partners, and sector stakeholders. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently, conducting field visits, managing multiple processes, and building trust-based relationships.

Key Responsibilities
The ECD Business Development Coordinator will identify and source potential ECD centres through professional networks, community engagement initiatives, referrals, and sector forums. The successful candidate will maintain a strong pipeline of potential programme participants aligned with regional growth objectives.
The role involves conducting site assessments to evaluate the operational readiness and suitability of prospective centres. This includes reviewing centre operations, assessing business practices, and determining whether applicants meet programme requirements. The successful candidate will also conduct break-even analyses, review financial records, obtain and assess credit reports, and evaluate the financial sustainability of ECD centres before recommending them for programme participation.
Additional responsibilities include presenting Grow ECDโs value proposition, supporting centres with onboarding onto the Grow App, delivering financial readiness training, maintaining accurate recruitment documentation, and preparing applications for review by the Grow Finance Committee. The role also requires maintaining pipeline tracking systems, following up on programme decisions, and ensuring effective handovers to the Business Support Advisor.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants for the ECD Business Development Coordinator position should have a relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Marketing, Community Development, or a related field. Candidates must have a minimum of five yearsโ experience in business development, community engagement, pipeline management, or a similar role. Strong financial literacy and analytical ability are essential, as the position involves assessing business sustainability and reviewing financial information.
Experience within the Early Childhood Development sector will be considered an advantage. Applicants should demonstrate the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, community organisations, and business networks.
