About the ActionAid Finance Internship
Reporting to the Finance Officer, the ActionAid Finance Internship is designed to provide graduates with practical workplace experience in finance operations and financial management. Internship Responsibilities
The ActionAid Finance Internship involves supporting the Finance Team with a variety of financial administration duties. The successful candidate will assist with cash management activities, including receipting, banking, petty cash maintenance, replenishments, and ensuring that payments are properly authorised before presentation to the bank.
The intern will also assist in capturing CP accounts, processing payments to suppliers and clients, and maintaining accurate financial records in accordance with ActionAid Zimbabwe’s financial management and accountability guidelines.
Throughout the ActionAid Finance Internship, the successful candidate will gain practical experience in financial controls, accounting procedures, transaction processing, and compliance while working within an established NGO finance environment.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants for the ActionAid Finance Internship should possess a Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline from a recognised university with good academic results. Candidates should have at least one year of experience working within an NGO finance environment. Strong analytical ability, organisational skills, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
The organisation is seeking individuals with high levels of integrity, initiative, and professionalism.
