Key Job Functions: Research & Regulation
The ZERA Energy Engineer manages a diverse portfolio that balances project management with technical standard-setting.
- Project Management: Coordinate energy efficiency programs and pilot projects, focusing on the promotion and implementation of new, sustainable technologies.
- Standards & Codes: Assist in the development of energy management systems, regulations, and minimum energy performance standards (MEPS).
- Research & Development: Lead R&D initiatives within the energy sector, evaluating research proposals and formulating innovative energy concepts.
- Enforcement & Compliance: Ensure that energy performance standards and management regulations are strictly followed across the industry.
- Awareness & Education: Facilitate workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns to educate both consumers and licensees on efficient energy use.
- Data Analytics: Leverage energy data analytics to generate insightful reports on national energy trends and efficiency metrics.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements
ZERA is looking for a results-oriented engineer with specialized certifications in energy management.
- Academic Degree: BSc Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. A Masterโs degree in a relevant field is a significant advantage.
- Professional Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience, with a minimum of 2 years at a mid-managerial level within the energy sector or intensive energy-use industries.
- Mandatory Certification: Must hold a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) qualification.
- Technical Skills: Strong background in project management, energy data analytics, and research methodology.
- Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills for high-level reporting and public awareness campaigns.
