Core Responsibilities: Risk & Assurance

The TIMB Audit Assistant supports the internal audit function through rigorous assessment and documentation.

  • Audit Planning: Assist in the preparation of annual work plans, including comprehensive risk assessments and audit programs for consulting and assurance engagements.
  • Departmental Audits: Carry out detailed audits of various departments to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Financial Oversight: Review management controls to verify financial reliability and support the Internal Auditor in evaluating accounting systems.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Document audit processes, prepare preliminary audit findings, and draft formal reports for management review.
  • Follow-up Procedures: Assist in performing follow-up audits to ensure that previously identified issues have been adequately addressed.

Qualifications & Professional Competencies

TIMB is seeking a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical capabilities and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Degree in Accounting, Professional Accounting, or Audit.
  • At least 2 years of experience specifically within Internal Auditing.
  • A valid Class 4 driverโ€™s license is mandatory.

Key Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and evaluation abilities.
  • Excellent communication and technical report-writing skills.
  • High level of organizational and time-management skills to meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining professional integrity.
